1. Tekno Team 2000
Travis & Troy, the Tag Team of the future, so the people who created this gimmick must have thought.
Travis was Chad Fortune and Troy was Erik Watts, son of legendary Mid-South Wrestling Promoter Bill Watts.
This Team was honestly doomed to fail, the cheesy name, the funny gear, … had they actually been portrayed as a Comedy Tag Team, who knows, it might have worked.
After wrestling a couple of unimportant undercard matches in the spring of 1995, mostly at Houseshows, the Team was sent down to USWA Memphis Wrestling TV to improve their skills.
They were brought back for 3 more matches in the spring of 1996, where they lost to The Body Donnas, The Smoking Gunns & The Godwinns on TV, before being fired from the World Wrestling Federation for good.
It’s safe to say that nobody missed them.
