• A Pitch Was Made For Brock Lesnar To Play A Gay Character In WWE, Stephanie McMahon’s Reaction

During an old interview with the Wrestling Observer, former WWE writer Brian Solomon claimed that he pitched the idea of Brock Lesnar playing a gay character on TV back in 2002.

He also noted that Stephanie McMahon liked the idea of a “strong gay character” who would be an a$$ kicking machine. Stephanie was reportedly intrigued by the idea of being progressive.

Obviously, WWE didn’t go with this idea.

However, another former WWE writer, Seth Mates, claims that WWE was never considering this idea despite a pitch being made:

“ANYONE within WWE could pitch ideas to creative. Just because they did does not mean that certain ideas were ever actually on the table.

Some bad info out there, including the names of those who did pitch, when it was done, etc … though yes, there was such a pitch.”
