CM Punk has had his fair share of problems in AEW and many talents backstage don’t like him, but there are also some people who don’t have a problem with the “Real” AEW World Champion.
While speaking to Pro Wrestling Illustrated, Adam Cole was asked about his relationship with Punk.
Below is what he said:
“I’ve had a few interactions with him, and he has always been nothing but kind to me.
Obviously, when he first came to AEW, it was a big deal for us and brought a lot of eyes and attention on the company. AEW has been on this crazy uphill swing for the past few years since I’ve arrived and that’s pretty cool.”
Cole is a pretty close friend of The Elite, who have had problems with Punk, but it doesn’t seem like the problems between The Elite and Punk have affected Cole’s relationship with Punk.
At the All Out 2022 media scrum, Punk wished Cole the best after he suffered a concussion at the first Forbidden Door event:
“I think Adam Cole is fantastic, I am more worried about his health. I just want the kid to be healthy because he’s a sweetheart.”
