Vince McMahon has filed a motion to compel arbitration in response to the ongoing Grant v. WWE et all case.

In his defense, McMahon argues that the non-disclosure agreement (NDA) signed by both parties includes an arbitration clause, indicating that any disputes should be resolved through private arbitration rather than in a public court.

McMahon strongly refutes the allegations of sexual abuse and coercion made by Janel Grant, labeling them as “pure fiction” intended to attract publicity. He asserts that their relationship was consensual and denies any mistreatment or coercion on his part.

Contrary to Grant’s claims of grieving the loss of her parents at the time of their meeting in 2019, McMahon states that her father passed away in 2017 and her mother at an earlier time. He references a lawsuit related to the foreclosure of Grant’s parents’ home, filed with the New York State Supreme Court.

McMahon further argues that Grant lived with her fiancé in the same condo complex where McMahon resided, making it implausible that any alleged incidents occurred without any subsequent action or reports from Grant’s fiancé, who he identifies as Brian Goncalves, a lawyer and executive for TelevisaUnivision.

Vince asserts that neither Goncalves nor any other individual, including building management, police, Grant’s friends, or legal representatives, contacted him regarding the alleged abusive behavior.

Grant’s lawyer Ann Callis issued the following statement after this:

“Vince McMahon has never known a storyline that he doesn’t twist to fit his own shameful narrative. Her father was in in-home hospice during his final days where Janel continued to care for him around the clock. Prior to his death, she had been caring for her blind, wheelchair-bound mother. Using the grief of someone who lost both of her parents is an all new level of disgusting.”

Callis also noted that Grant wasn’t dating Goncalves at the time of her relationship with McMahon:

“Her ex-boyfriend allowed her to stay in the apartment as she rebuilt her life and resume post-taking care of her parents. She had no job and no other financial support to lean back on.”
