As mentioned in his famous documentary a couple of years ago, Old School WWF Legend André The Giant was often booked in Japan for NJPW (by Antonio Inoki) and even AJPW (by Giant Baba), and had to travel by airplane, which was always a bad experience for the 7 feet Giant.

Since André didn’t ever fit into any of the airplane toilets, the stewardesses had to bring a bucket (and a movable curtain to cover the seat from all sides) for him to do No.1 or No.2 into, if he had to.

In order to avoid situations like that, he usually used the airport restroom right before boarding, which should cover him for the flight, but that plan didn’t always work out properly.

During a recent interview on the WSI YouTube channel, fellow WWF Legend Brutus Beefcake told a story about a 14-hour Boeing 747 flight back home from Tokyo with the Frenchman suddenly feeling the need to relieve himself.

Here’s what The Barber had to say about the flight with ‘The 8th Wonder of the World’:

“I’ve never heard anything like it. The sounds that are coming out of there.

The smell that started coming forward, the back of the plane had a lot of people. There were people falling out of their seats and into the aisles.

Gagging, puking, crying, screaming, and we were all falling on the floor laughing ourselves sick.

I couldn’t breathe. He must have half filled-up a garbage bag full of sh*t.

He would eat 20 pounds of food per city, and so would sh*t 20 pounds.”

André The Giant sadly passed away in 1993 at the young age of 46 due to heart failure, resulting from his untreated gigantism.
