9. Slammy Awards To Take Place During WrestleMania Week?
After this week’s Slammy Awards, WWE has thought about bringing changes to the show. The changes include doing voting 1 week before the show. Talking about voting, this year’s Slammy Award votes were legit.
Since the votes were legit, many Superstars weren’t around to accept the award. So WWE either wants a pre-recorded video from the winner in such cases, or move the show to WrestleMania week where all the Superstars are in the town.
8. CM Punk Featured In EA Sports UFC 2
Former WWE Champion & current UFC Fighter CM Punk will be a playable fighter on the new EA Sports UFC 2 video game, which will be released on March 21, 2016 on Xbox One & PS4.
The game features Ronda Rousey & Conor McGregor in the cover.
7. Roman Reigns Talks About Not Caring What The IWC Smarks Say About Him
WWE World Heavyweight Champion Roman Reigns was recently interviewed by the WWE.com staff. One of the questions asked was “What was it like to win the title in the same building as the Royal Rumble and hear the crowd finally coming around?”
Below is Roman’s reply:
That, for me, was the icing on the cake. That was a full year of work and focusing in and keeping my head down, doing what I had to do and not letting anybody tell me differently. Not getting caught up in the B.S. of what everybody’s saying online or what somebody somewhere is blogging about.
It’s just about me staying with my process, knowing I have a great support system. I surround myself with the right people, I believe in myself and I think it shows that if you put your mind to it, you can do anything you want — even if it’s dealing with thousands of crazy Philly fans. [Laughs.] Anything is possible.
