4. Bret Hart
Bret “The Hitman” Hart joined the WWF World Wrestling Federation in 1984 and turned babyface in 1988.
In 1997 his babyface act was starting to get less over than it did in all his 9 years as a babyface, and the crowds started getting behind the Anti-Hero “Stone Cold” Steve Austin.
The WWF booked the infamous double-turn during their Submission match at WrestleMania 13, where the Babyface Bret Hart got booed heavily and the Heel Steve Austin got cheered by the majority of the crowd.
The next night on RAW, Bret officially turned heel, but only inside the United States, while he continued to be a beloved Babyface everywhere else on the planet, he was just too over in Canada, Europe and Asia to be accepted as a Heel over there.
