On this day in 1996, Ted Turner’s World Championship Wrestling aired another LIVE episode of their weekly TV show ‘WCW MONDAY NITRO’.
It was broadcasted from the the Disney-MGM Studios in Orlando, Florida and featured matches, interviews & storyline segments on the road to the ‘WCW Hog Wild 1996’ PPV.

• Backstage Notes Regarding Tonight’s RAW Reunion
WWE officials are hoping to draw a huge viewership number for tonight’s episode of RAW Reunion. Let’s take a look at some backstage notes prior to tonight’s special show:
– There have been conflicting reports regarding John Cena’s appearance on tonight’s show. Wrestling Observer is reporting that Cena won’t appear, while Brad Shepard and John Pollock are reporting that Cena is in Tampa and will appear on the show.
– WWE Hall of Famer Mark Henry is teasing an Old School version of him appearing on tonight’s show. Below is what he tweeted:

– USA Network is going to air two replays of RAW Reunion. The first replay will air from 11:45 pm to 2:45 am (late Monday night and early Tuesday morning) and the second replay will air on Tuesday evening from 5 pm to 8 pm (as a lead-in to SmackDown).
– Word going on is that Hulk Hogan, Scott Hall & Kevin Nash will come out as the nWo on tonight’s show.
– “Stone Cold” Steve Austin is expected to have a segment with Kevin Owens.
– Former WWE Divas Champion Maryse is also scheduled to return on tonight’s show (to promote the upcoming season of Miz & Mrs), but her return hasn’t been officially confirmed by WWE. WWE has confirmed 38 returning names for tonight’s show and you can check out the list by tapping here.
