• Old School WWF Veteran Would Have Celebrated His Birthday

Today would have been the 60th birthday of Old School WWF Veteran Doug Furnas.

The former world-class powerlifter (986 lbs Squat, 600 lbs Bench Press, 826 lbs Deadlift) wrestled for various promotions over the years, such as Ted Turner’s World Championship Wrestling (1990), Paul Heyman’s Extreme Championship Wrestling (1996, 1997-1998) and the World Wrestling Federation (1996-1997).

Furnas passed away in 2012 from Atherosclerotic & hypertensive heart disease.

As we noted earlier this week, WWE announced that the following members of the nWo will be inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame Class of 2020:

– Hollywood Hulk Hogan

– Kevin Nash

– Scott Hall

– Sean Waltman

According to Brad Shepard, people backstage in WWE were surprised that former WCW President Eric Bischoff wasn’t chosen for the Hall of Fame as a member of the nWo, despite his recent run as the Executive Director of SmackDown.

Speaking of the Hall of Fame, 13 time WWE World Heavyweight Champion Randy Orton noted that he wants Ken Shamrock to be inducted into the Hall of Fame:
