• Backstage WWE Reaction To Tony Hinchcliffe Cracking Jokes On RAW

Tony Hinchcliffe joined the commentary team on this week’s RAW during the World Tag Team Championship match between The War Raiders and The New Day.

Hinchcliffe cracked multiple jokes about Michael Cole during commentary, and even joked about Big E’s neck injury, when he stated that the only thing stiffer than Cole was Big E’s neck.

The joke was met with swift and widespread criticism from numerous fans and observers who deemed it insensitive given the potentially career-ending nature of the injury Big E sustained.

According to Fightful Select, people backstage in WWE weren’t impressed by Hinchcliffe:

“Those we spoke to backstage in WWE admitted the Tony Hinchcliffe spot came across as a dud. They also said he was very respectful at the show.”

• “Some of the new guys are p*$$!es” – Top WWE Star

Drew McIntyre recently shared some candid thoughts on the evolution of the wrestling business and, in particular, the perceived toughness of some wrestlers of the current generation. Having spent years observing the ebb and flow of talent, McIntyre didn’t hold back during his appearance on the WAFFLIN Podcast.

The conversation took a turn towards the inherent grit often associated with professional wrestlers. The host posed a question about the pride and toughness that might prevent a wrestler from signaling for an early end to a match: “I don’t know whether it’s pride in being a wrestler, in being tough, that makes you not want to turn to the referee and say, ‘Yeah, I need to quit.’”

McIntyre responded with a strong declaration of his own mindset, stating, “Unless I was dead, I would continue the match.” He then went on to illustrate his point with a notable example of resilience within the industry, referencing WWE Legend Triple H: “We’ve seen examples like Triple H; he tore his quad off the bone but continued the match. He was even put in the Walls of Jericho, a maneuver that puts pressure on the quads, even though his wasn’t attached. That’s the kind of mentality most of our superstars have.”

However, McIntyre’s praise for this enduring toughness wasn’t universal. He concluded his thought with a blunt assessment of some of the newer talent, expressing a stark contrast to the veterans he admired: “Or maybe that’s just some of them, because some of the new guys are freaking p*$$!es.”
