WWE Hall of Famer Edge wrestled the last match under his current WWE contract against Sheamus on his 25th year anniversary in WWE, two weeks ago on SmackDown.
The Rated-R Superstar’s WWE contract will expire at the end of this month and it’s unknown what the future holds for him.
What’s known is that he won’t wrestle in Toronto again as he said that his match against Sheamus over there was his last match in his hometown.
PWTorch had reported last month that Edge told WWE what it would take to re-sign him, but the company does not want to fulfill his requests and passed on re-signing him. This sparked a belief within WWE that he is probably headed to AEW and knew at that time what AEW could offer him.
Edge then posted a video on Twitter to address those rumors, where he said that there are no hard feelings between him and WWE. He noted that WWE has offered him a contract extension, but he doesn’t know what to do with it.

According to the Wrestling Observer, people in WWE believe that Edge is not going to sign a contract extension with WWE and will join AEW instead.
