• Becky Lynch Almost Lost The SmackDown Women’s Championship This Week

SmackDown Women’s Champion Becky Lynch got injured on this week’s episode of RAW after she got punched in the face by Nia Jax.

This resulted in Becky being pulled from Survivor Series 2018 and her match against RAW Women’s Champion Ronda Rousey getting cancelled.

According to Dave Scherer of PWInsider, there were talks of taking the Title off of Becky so that they could still do a “Champion vs. Champion” match this Sunday at Survivor Series 2018.

Below is what Dave said (credit to Ringside news for transcription):

“Vince McMahon and Triple H were both not at television (for SmackDown) so when Becky had… you know the situation they were running around with a bunch of different ideas.

Say what you want, but without the top two people there (Vince and Triple H) there was a lot of ‘What should we do?’ and ideas being thrown around. Some of which I heard which if true were totally ridiculous.

At the end of the day what they decided to do was the smart thing. I’ve heard there was talk of taking the title off of Becky which would have been stupid for a number of reasons.”

RAW Women’s Champion Ronda Rousey will now face Charlotte Flair in a non-title match at Survivor Series 2018.

This match was rumored to be the WrestleMania 35 main event. No word yet on if WWE still plans on doing this match again at WrestleMania.
