• JBL Comments On If Eric Bischoff Offered Him A WCW Contract

During a recent appearance on the Sam Roberts Wrestling Podcast, former WWE Champion JBL was asked if he was offered a WCW contract by Eric Bischoff.

Below is what JBL said:

“I ran into Eric Bischoff at a bar in an arena airport, which was the first time I met him around the time the Attitude Era first started. I ran into Eric leaving Japan, and it got back to WWE and I was in the middle of a contract negotiation, and Eric never offered me a contract, so it was terrific.”

During an interview with Sporting News last year, former WWF Champion The Big Show said that his WWE contract would expire in February 2018 while talking about his rumored match with Shaquille O’Neal not happening at WrestleMania 33.

Below is what he said:

“It is a little frustrating because my contract ends in February 2018. So I don’t know what’s going to happen between now and then. I don’t know if there will be an opportunity for me next year at WrestleMania or not. I don’t know because there’s a lot of new Superstars breaking out and I’ve done my time. This was my perhaps my last opportunity to have a featured match at WrestleMania. And I would have had a good time working with Shaq.”

This began speculation that Big Show is done with WWE now since February is over. However, that’s not the case.

During a recent interview with UPI, Big Show noted that he’ll “definitely” return to WWE in-time for WrestleMania 34.

This means that either Big Show signed a new WWE contract or his WWE deal was freezed while he was out of action with an injury last year.

With Big Show saying he’ll return by WrestleMania 34, it’s very much possible that he enters the 5th annual Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal.
