• Big Show Praises AEW Wrestler, Calls Him “Incredibly Unique”

Old School WWF/WCW Legend The Big Show was recently interviewed by Wrestlezone, where he revealed that he think very highly of current AEW wrestler Rey Fenix.

Rey Fenix in AEW is very similar to what Rey Mysterio was for World Championship Wrestling during the mid-90s.

Here’s what Paul Wight said:

“You look at Rey Fenix, Rey Fenix has just really blown my mind since I’ve been there. I look at him and go, ‘my God’.

Because I worked with a young Rey Mysterio and remember how amazing Rey Mysterio was when he came on the scene. And Rey was doing things that the wrestling world hadn’t seen.

I think that’s one of the guys who’s really going to blow everybody’s minds as things pick up and things start to grow.

Rey Fenix is going to blow everyone’s mind with how incredibly unique of a talent that he is.”

• Old School WWF Veteran Celebrates His Birthday

Old School WWF/WCW Veteran Scott Putski (Real name: James Bednarski) celebrates his 55th birthday today.

He’s the son of WWF Hall of Famer “Polish Power” Ivan Putski (Józef Bednarski).

It felt a bit odd when this 260 lbs Heavyweight Wrestler was used in the newly founded WWF Light-Heavyweight Division (basically the counterpart to WCW’s Cruiserweight Division) in 1997.

Scott then joined Ted Turner’s World Championship Wrestling in 1998, but left the promotion a year later in 1999.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY SCOTT PUTSKI!
