In a surprising move, Dolph Ziggler was released from WWE back in September, sparking curiosity among fans about his next steps. The seasoned performer, known for his charisma and in-ring prowess, bided his time and strategically chose 2024 as the moment to make his next move.

Dolph Ziggler, often considered one of the most underrated talents in WWE history, faced inconsistent bookings despite holding multiple titles, including the World Title on a couple of occasions.

Booker T had made some controversial remarks about Ziggler at a WWE PPV in the past.

Speaking on his Hall of Fame podcast, Booker T clarified the statement he made during a pay-per-view Kickoff Show:

“I made a statement one time on the Kickoff Show. When I’m on the Kickoff Show I’m working, I’m working.

I said, ‘Dolph Ziggler’s gonna look back on his career and he’s gonna realize how many moments he missed because he always wanted to go out there steal the show, all the championship wins, all of that because he wanted to steal the show’.

Man they ate me up on Twitter for saying that. Haha, man, I’m working, I’m a character here.

But nah man, Ziggler is not underrated. He is truly one of the guys that did it the best, he is truly one of the all-time greats.”
