On this day in 1996, Ted Turner’s World Championship Wrestling aired another LIVE episode of their weekly TV show ‘WCW MONDAY NITRO’.

It was broadcasted from the Hara Arena in Dayton, Ohio and featured matches, interviews & storyline segments on the road to the ‘WCW Starrcade 1996’ PPV.

• BREAKING NEWS: New AEW World Champion Crowned, Will Appear On Next Week’s Impact Wrestling

In the main event of tonight’s AEW Dynamite “Winter Is Coming”, Kenny Omega defeated Jon Moxley to win the AEW World Championship.

Omega hit Moxley in the head with a microphone during the match when Moxley was distracted by Impact Wrestling EVP Don Callis.

After the match, Don Callis announced that Omega will appear on next week’s episode of Impact Wrestling to explain everything.

Speaking of tonight’s Dynamite, Old School WCW Legend & WWE Hall of Famer Sting made his AEW debut on tonight’s episode, where he had a face-off with Cody Rhodes, Darby Allin, and Arn Anderson (tap here to watch the video).
