8. Kurt Angle Says AJ Styles Reminds Him Of Ric Flair
During a recent appearance on “The Ric Flair Show”, former WWF Champion & TNA Hall of Famer Kurt Angle talked about AJ Styles and his arrival in WWE. Angle said Styles is a great wrestler and really enjoyed working with him in TNA Wrestling:

“AJ is one of a kind. I have always compared him to a lot of people like: Shawn Michaels. He has a knack in the ring. He just knows where he is and what to do, he has it all. He knows when the fire up at the right time, he knows when to sell…the kid is just phenomenal at what he does. I have never had less than a 5 star match with the kid. With AJ, I can’t believe it took him this long to get to WWE, that is what blew my mind because I have known him for 11 years and it’s like, what’s going on here?

Why hasn’t this kid ever had the opportunity, and I’m sure right now Vince is saying to himself, damn, I wish I had this kid 10 years ago, so I’m just glad he made it. AJ had a great career in TNA. He went to New Japan, but it’s good to see him end his career in WWE. I’m very happy for him. The great thing about AJ, and why he also reminds me of Ric Flair is because he can go in there and I can wrestle AJ for a half hour and not break a sweat. He makes it really easy to wrestle him. I was injured a lot when I wrestled AJ and I didn’t have to do anything, he was doing all the work.”
