Update on Brock Lesnar’s Next Opponent, Who Will Win The Universal Championship on Raw? Good News For TNA Impact Wrestling, Lance Storm Not A Fan Of Seth Rollins’ Buckle Bomb

4. Lance Storm Not A Fan Of Seth Rollins’ Buckle Bomb

After Finn Balor got injured at SummerSlam 2016 due to a Buckle Bomb from Seth Rollins, Lance Storm had the following to say about the move which ended Sting’s career:

“When you’re throwing someone backwards at stuff which is partially obstructed… I’ve seen guys, if you come a little short, they bang their head on the barricade, too high you hit your back and fold yourself the wrong way. When your moves have a high risk but the risk is on you, I don’t mind it as much. But when you’re throwing guys backwards, the risk is all on him and I don’t like stuff like that. I didn’t like it when Sting took the buckle-bomb, and I don’t like it when other guys take the buckle bomb.”

Tommy Dreamer also weighed-in on the risk factor involved in the Buckle Bomb and below is what he said:

“I know there’s a lot of debate about the “Buckle Bomb” as it’s called. Most guys will take that. The biggest thing is when you’re going backwards guys always have a tendency to look backwards because it’s a natural reaction. If you’re not hitting that properly it’s going to look vicious. It’s going to hurt a neck. If you saw how Finn did it his shoulder went back. He also reached back and it’s going to extend your shoulder. It happens. I’d be a hypocrite for all the stuff I have done but there are some moves that maybe shouldn’t be used. You’re also talking to a guy who walked in to a building and would say, “I want to get choke slammed off that.” So, I get why guys do it.”
