Former TNA World Heavyweight Champion Bobby Roode’s official NXT TV debut aired last night on the WWE Network. Roode cut a heel promo and claimed he’ll take NXT to the next level.
Also, the rematch between Asuka & Bayley for the NXT Women’s Championship was made official for NXT Takeover: Back To Brooklyn. Hideo Itami returned to in-ring action on NXT TV and defeated WWE CWC competitor Sean Maluta. Itami noted in a backstage promo that he’s coming for the NXT Championship.
5. Daniel Bryan Talks About The New Tag Team Titles For SmackDown Live, Tajiri Competing Next Week on Cruiserweight Classic
After this week’s episode of SmackDown Live went off the air, SmackDown General Manager Daniel Bryan addressed the situation of SmackDown’s tag team division on Talking Smack (SmackDown post-show). Bryan talked about how the Tag Team Titles are on Raw and SmackDown is left with no Tag Team Title. He noted that him & Shane McMahon are planning to introduce new Tag Team Titles for SmackDown Live, but they are not going to hurry like Raw did by introducing the Universal Title.
