• Cain Velasquez To Wrestle A Match While Being Out On Bail
Earlier this year, former WWE wrestler & former UFC Heavyweight Champion Cain Velasquez shot a man.
According to MMA reporter Fight Oracle, Cain did this because a man allegedly abused one of his children at day care:
“The talk going around is Cain chased down 2 men riding in a vehicle. One of them is accused of abuse of one of Cain’s children at day care. The other person involved is the father of the alleged abuser.
Cain shot the father of the alleged abuser. I’m told Cain fired at least three times.
I don’t know if he got the 2 men confused. I don’t know if all the shots were fired at the same person. Or at both and only one landed.”
According to Police reports, Cain fired a .40-caliber handgun “multiple times” into a truck that was carrying 43-year-old Harry Goularte Jr. (who inappropriately touched the 4-year-old victim on multiple occasions), who is being charged for molestation.
Cain also rammed Harry’s Chevy Silverado truck with his Ford truck.
Velasquez is facing 10 charges, including:
– Attempted murder
– Shooting at an occupied motor vehicle or aircraft
– Three counts of assault with a firearm
– Three counts of assault with a deadly weapon
– Willfully discharging a firearm from a vehicle and carrying a loaded firearm with intent to commit a felony.
If convicted, Cain faces more than 20 years in prison.
Sports Illustrated is reporting that a Judge has granted Cain $1 million bail after he served 8 months in California’s Santa Clara County while awaiting trial.
Cain will now wrestle a match on the December 3rd AAA show in Arizona. A Judge approved of this wrestling appearance for Velasquez.
Velasquez’s legal team indicated he would still partake in GPS monitoring and even would pay fees for police to accompany him on the trip.
Cain has only had 5 pro-wrestling matches so far, with 2 of them being in WWE (one against Brock Lesnar for the WWE Championship at Crown Jewel 2019 and the other one was a tag team match at a Live Event).
