CM Punk defeated Samoa Joe to retain the “Real” AEW World Championship in the first match of the AEW All In main show.
He apparently arrived late to London because he wanted to spend time with his wife AJ Mendez (fka AJ Lee in WWE) after the AEW Collision taping last Wednesday night. He left for London on Friday after a lot of talents had already arrived in the city.
According to Haus Of Wrestling, when Punk arrived at the Heathrow Airport on Saturday morning, he wasn’t provided with a car service by AEW to take him to the hotel he was staying at.
Punk reportedly texted the number of the driver he was given by AEW, but the number turned out to be invalid. He then decided to take a train and go to the hotel himself.
It was also noted that Punk got lost and a few fans who noticed him helped him figure out where he was going.
As we reported earlier, Punk had a backstage fight against “Jungle Boy” Jack Perry at All In. Punk threatened to quit All Elite Wrestling after this incident.
Both men have been suspended and the incident is being investigated (tap here for details).
