• CM Punk’s Current AEW Return Date Revealed

After suffering a triceps injury and getting suspended for the backstage fight at the All Out 2022 PPV, CM Punk is ready to return to AEW.

According to Fightful Select, current plan is for Punk to return on the June 21st episode of Dynamite at the Wintrust Arena in Chicago. AEW President Tony Khan wants to announce his return in advance and not keep it a surprise.

Punk is hoping to work with The Elite (Kenny Omega & Young Bucks), but there has been no contact between both sides.

There’s also a meeting planned between Punk and Chris Jericho, to see if working together is a possibility. For those who don’t know, Jericho (who is a locker room leader in AEW from day 1) confronted Punk after the All Out fight and Punk told him it’s none of his business. Punk recently called Jericho a “liar & stooge” on Instagram.

There’s rumors that Punk might stick working on AEW’s new Saturday show to avoid contact with the people who he has issues with, but nothing is confirmed about that. AEW wants to introduce this new show to put people on it that don’t get much TV time on Dynamite & Rampage.
