• Cody Rhodes Lost At WrestleMania 39 Because He Helped Start AEW?

Roman Reigns defeated Cody Rhodes in the main event of WrestleMania 39 Sunday to retain the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship to continue his 945-day reign.

Solo Sikoa interfered, but the referee sent him to the back. The Usos interfered, but Kevin Owens & Sami Zayn took them out.

In the end, Paul Heyman distracted the referee, which led to Solo coming back to deliver the Samoan Spike to Cody.

The Tribal Chief then hit his momentum Spear on The American Nightmare to pick up the win.

On the RAW after WrestleMania, a new feud started when Brock Lesnar turned heel and destroyed The American Nightmare.

On his podcast, current AEW wrestler Matt Hardy said that Cody helping start All Elite Wrestling in 2019 might have played a part in Cody’s loss at the Grandest Stage of them all:

“Cody, he ends up leaving, he goes out, he creates a company, he creates success. He gets himself over. He’s a big deal and [fans are] all behind him.

Vince (McMahon) comes in at the end of the day, like, ‘hold up, before you are going to run this ship, I’m going to show you. I’ll make you earn it.’ I mean, that’s a possibility.

I don’t know if that is the actual factual, true deal though.”
