• Conor McGregor Reacts To Khabib Nurmagomedov Taking A Shot At Him After UFC 257 Loss

In the main event of UFC 257 pay-per-view, Dustin Poirier TKOed Conor McGregor in the second round of their Lightweight fight.

This was McGregor’s first ever TKO loss in UFC. His MMA record is 22-5 now.

You can watch it below:

Khabib Nurmagomedov, who beat Conor McGregor at UFC 229 in the highest selling fight/PPV in the company’s history, took a shot at McGregor by posting the following:

“This is what happened, when you change your team, leave the sparring partners who made you a champion and sparring with little kids, far away from reality.”

Khabib later tweeted the following:

“You can like him or hate, but you have to Respect him.

This guy build this sport @ufc

Thank you for everything @danawhite

I have so much respect for you”

During the UFC 257 post-fight press conference, McGregor was asked to address this tweet from Khabib.

Conor said he hasn’t changed any team and said “it is what it is” about his loss. Conor then questioned if Khabib wants to come back or not.

He said styles makes fight and that every fight is different. Conor then ended by saying:

“If he wants to have his disrespectful comments, come back and let’s go again my man. Let’s fight and talk.”

• Old School Wrestling Veteran Would Celebrate His Birthday

Today would have been the 56th birthday of Old School ECW/WCW/WWF Veteran Mike Awesome (Real name: Michael Lee Alfonso).

Mike Awesome was the real life cousin of Hulk Hogan’s nephew, fellow Old School WCW Veteran Horace Hogan (Michael Bollea).

After years in Japan (FMW), Mike wrestled for Paul Heyman’s Extreme Championship Wrestling until he joined Ted Turner’s World Championship Wrestling in April 2000, while still holding the ECW World Heavyweight Championship.

Awesome, now under WCW contract, ended up dropping the title a few days later at an ECW event in Indianapolis, by losing it to WWF Wrestler Tazz, who then lost the belt the following week to Tommy Dreamer.

When Vince McMahon bought WCW in March 2001, he was signed to a World Wrestling Federation contract and became a member of the WCW/ECW Alliance during the infamous Invasion Storyline.
