• Conor McGregor Sets Up His Next Fight With A Current UFC Champion

Conor McGregor’s last fight took place at UFC 264, where he broke his leg during his trilogy fight against Dustin Poirier and lost.

He has now set up an encounter with current UFC Interim Bantamweight Champion Petr Yan.

A fan posted a graphic of the “Best Boxers In The UFC”, and with the rankings being:

1. Petr Yan

2. Max Holloway

3. Conor McGregor

4. Jose Aldo

5. Nate Diaz

Conor saw this graphic and tweeted:

“I outboxed 3 guys on this list! There’s no one even remotely close to my boxing in the UFC. Even Dustin only got shots off post the leg damage. Everyone has been pucked around by me if we are going off boxing. Yan is good though, I like his style. I’d rip him up in that shell though.”

This led to Yan replying:

“Conor, we all know that you like to talk, but let’s get straight to the point if you really want to box or to fight, I don’t care about the weight or the ruleset. I bet you won’t show up.”

McGregor then accepted the challenge:

“Lol, no prob littler. We will set up a spar or something similar in the near future. Will host you and your team in Ireland for one of our shows at Crumlin boxing club. We will figure it out then, kid. God bless ya.

@ParimatchGlobal, get this set.”

Petr Yan is 5-foot-7 and competes in the 135 lbs division in the UFC. His MMA record is 16-2 (out of which one loss was due to Disqualification, because of an illegal knee strike).

On the other hand, Conor McGregor is 5-foot-9 and competes in the 155 lbs and 170 lbs divisions in the UFC these days. He has competed in the 145 lbs division before, but most likely will never fight in that weight division again. His MMA record is 22-6.

Speaking of McGregor, he made history 5 years ago today at UFC 205 by becoming the 1st ever simultaneous 2-division champion in UFC (Featherweight & Lightweight Champion).
