• Current Plan For Adam Copeland’s AEW Return

Adam Copeland aka Edge has been absent from AEW TV since September 2025, a hiatus necessitated by a packed Hollywood schedule that saw him filming both the Disney+ series Percy Jackson and the Olympians and the action sequel The Beekeeper 2 alongside Jason Statham.

According to WrestleVotes Live on Fightful Select, the WWE Hall of Famer is eyeing a major stage for his comeback: Double or Nothing 2026.

This year’s flagship event is heading to New York City, where it will be held at the Louis Armstrong Stadium in Queens. The open-air venue, which holds approximately 15,000 fans, is reportedly being viewed as the perfect environment for Copeland’s first match in nearly eight months.

While his initial departure was tied to his emotional rivalry with Christian Cage, his return is expected to inject significant star power into the spring lineup.

• Ronda Rousey Announced For Dream Fight

Former WWE Superstar Ronda Rousey (age 39) is returning to MMA after 10 years. On May 16 on Netflix, the UFC Hall of Famer will face fellow women’s MMA pioneer, Gina Carano (age 43), in an MMA Superfight.

This will be a Featherweight (145 lbs) bout and will be contested over five 5 minute rounds. This will take place at the Intuit Dome in Los Angeles.

Ronda said the following about coming out of retirement:

“Been waiting so long to announce this. Me and Gina Carano are gonna throw down in the biggest superfight in women’s combat sport history, and we’re partnering with the fighter-first promoter, MVP, as well as the baddest streamer on the planet, Netflix. This is for all MMA fans past, present, and future.”

Carano said:

“Ronda came to me and said there is only one person she would make a comeback for, and it’s been her dream to make this fight happen between us. She thanked me for opening up doors for her career and was respectful in asking for this fight to happen.

This is an honor. I believe I will walk out of this fight with the win, and I anticipate it will not come easy, which I welcome. This is as much for Ronda and I as it is for the fans and mixed martial arts community. What a time to be alive.”

Rousey last fought in 2016 and has a record of 12-2. Carano last fought in 2009 and has a record of 9-1.
