• Darby Allin Teased A Match With CM Punk During Tonight’s AEW Show

As we have reported before, former WWE Champion CM Punk is expected to debut in All Elite Wrestling soon.

At tonight’s “Fight For The Fallen” special episode of AEW Dynamite, Darby Allin teased a match with Punk.

Here’s what the former TNT Champion said in his backstage interview:

“I’ve been around a lot of men in this world, that have laid claim to how they’re the greatest. There’s only one place to really prove that…right here in AEW…even if you think you’re the best in the world.”

Punk used to call himself the “Best In The World” in WWE.

AEW Rampage: The First Dance will take place on August 20th in Chicago at The United Center, and AEW is teasing Punk for this show (as seen in the above video).

We have reported before how TNT officials weren’t happy with Sting’s surprise debut in AEW, as they wanted it to be a pre-announced debut, so they could capitalize on the buzz to increase ratings & viewership. This is the reason why AEW announced Big Show’s signing on their website and then brought him on Dynamite after advertising him.

AEW & TNT Officials both want Rampage to do big numbers and that’s why they’re teasing Punk’s AEW debut for this show now.
