2. Dean Ambrose Losing The WWE Title At Battleground 2016? Big Title Rematch Planned For SummerSlam 2016
According to Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer, the current plans for the SummerSlam 2016 main event is for a rematch between Seth Rollins & Roman Reigns for the WWE Championship.
This means that there’s a big possibility that Ambrose might be losing the WWE Title during the Triple Threat match at Battleground 2016.
Regarding who would be the new champion if Ambrose drops the Title at Battleground 2016, Seth Rollins might walk out of the PPV as a 3 time WWE World Heavyweight Champion. This would mean that Roman would challenge “The Man” for the WWE Title in the main event of SummerSlam 2016 and likely getting his win big.
But that would be the case if there are no change in plans after Roman Reigns’ suspension. With Roman failing WWE’s Wellness Policy, it’s possible Vince McMahon finally pulls the trigger on him and turn him heel.
