• X-Pac Thinks XFL Might Work This Time

During a recent edition of Sean Waltman’s podcast, X-Pac 12360, X-Pac talked about Johnny Gargano losing in the NXT TakeOver: Philadelphia main event, his conversation with Triple H about Johnny Gargano and XFL returning with it’s second season.

Below are the highlights:

On the NXT TakeOver: Philadelphia main event:

“It was heartbreaking when Gargano didn’t win. It was. It sucked, but it was so good. And Triple H told me, I hit him up afterward and he was like, ‘Yeah Gargano is the last of the white meat babyfaces.’ And that’s pretty much true right now.

Not that there can’t be any more you know? But as far as what we have to choose from right now he’s the guy that kind of fits that. I don’t really see anyone else.”

On XFL returning:

“Well, I knew it was going to happen when Vince sold a bunch of stock, couple hundred million dollars in stock and started an LLC. They’ve given themselves two years to get this off the ground and last time they had two months.

And I don’t think it’s a good idea to bet against this working. We just have to wait and see what happens. I’m just saying there is an appetite for that right now.”

• Edge Thinks WWE Should Book A Retirement Match Between Two Top Stars At WrestleMania 34

During an edition of E&C Pod of Awesomeness podcast, WWE Hall of Famer Edge talked about The Undertaker & John Cena’s future. Edge said that WWE should book a retirement between Taker & Cena at WrestleMania 34 because they have done everything else:

“Look at it this way – So we had John on the show pretty much let us know that at some point here in the future he realizes that it’s time to… he’s done everything that he possibly can for this company, right? They’ve both put over the heir apparent, Roman Reigns clean.

So it’s not like they wrestle, Taker retires John, puts somebody over after that. They’ve both done it. They both put him over clean in the middle of the ring. So that’s already been done. What else do you do?

You put those two together, to me, in a retirement match and the idea being – may the best man win and two of the most celebrated careers in the history of the WWE go against each other at WrestleMania and they both ride off into the sunset.”
