This is part 5 of our WWE Elimination Chamber 2023 LIVE coverage (part 4 is here).

Up next is the main event of the evening and it is for the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship.

Roman Reigns and Paul Heyman makes their way out first. Big time boos for Roman in Montreal.

“F**k you Roman” chants have already begun.

The Tribal Chief has been the top champion in WWE for 902 days now. He hasn’t been pinned in over 3 years.

Sami Zayn comes out to his “Worlds Apart” theme song again. Sami hugs his wife at ringside before entering the ring.

The match begins and both men are just hearing the crowd’s hate for the Head Of The Table, as “F**k you Roman” and “Roman Sucks” chants are going on.

Both men finally lock up and Roman soon takes down Sami with a shoulder tackle. The crowd boos and Roman tells them to stay quiet.

Sami sends Roman outside the ring and then dives on top of him.

Roman takes control of the match again and then insults the crowd in Montreal. Roman is also talking trash to Sami’s wife at ringside.

Reigns is telling Sami’s wife that her husband betrayed him. Reigns also talked trash in front of Sami’s father.

Sami is now firing back and beating Roman up in front of his family at ringside. Sami kisses his wife before taking the action back to the ring.

Zayn hits a Sunset Flip Powerbomb from the top rope and went for the cover, but Roman kicks out.

Reigns goes for the Superman Punch, but Zayn counters and hits the Exploder Suplex in the corner. Sami is going for the Helluva Kick, but Reigns nails a Superman Punch! Roman goes for the cover, but Sami kicks out.

Roman goes for the Spear, but misses and goes face-first into the turnbuckle. Sami hits another Exploder Suplex in the corner. Sami hits a Superman Punch, followed by the Helluva Kick and goes for the cover, but Roman kicks out at 2.5!

Reigns misses a Spear on the outside and goes through the barricade. Sami hits a Blue Thunder Bomb in the ring and goes for the cover, but Reigns kicks out.

The referee accidentally gets knocked out. Sami nails another Helluva Kick and goes for the cover, but there’s nobody to count.

Jimmy Uso shows up and superkicks Sami 3 times, followed by a Frog Splash. Jimmy puts Roman on top of Sami. Another referee comes in to count, but Sami kicks out.

Sami takes out Jimmy with a Helluva Kick on the ring apron. Sami turns around and gets speared by Roman! Reigns goes for the cover, but Sami kicks out!

Roman is now slapping Sami and running his mouth, but Sami slaps him back. Roman goes for the Superman Punch, Sami ducks and the referee gets laid out. Sami hits Roman with a Superman Punch of his own.

Heyman passes Reigns a Steel Chair. Jey Uso enters the ring and gets in Roman’s way. Roman says it’s either him or me. Roman then passed the chair to Jey.

Jey isn’t hitting Sami. Roman takes the chair back and begins shoving Jey. Sami goes for the Spear, Roman gets out of the way and he spears Jey instead. Roman is now smashing Sami with the chair.

Roman spears Sami and it’s over.

Roman Reigns (c) def. Sami Zayn to retain the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship

Roman Reigns vs. Cody Rhodes will be the main event of WrestleMania 39.

Reigns tells Jimmy to beat up Sami and this leads to Kevin Owens coming out. Owens hits both Roman and Jimmy with Stunners. Owens powerbombs Jimmy through the announce table.

Owens is about to attack Reigns with a Steel Chair, but Heyman begins attacking Owens. Nothing happens to Owens and KO hits a Stunner on Heyman too!

Sami hits Roman with a Helluva Kick to end the show.
