High #2: No Brock Lesnar
“The Beast Incarnate” Brock Lesnar didn’t make an appearance at FastLane 2017.
This is a good thing as many people were expecting him to interfere in the main event and cost Goldberg the match (similar to how Goldberg costed Lesnar the WWE Title match back at No Way Out 2004).
Now the main event of WrestleMania 33 is set: Goldberg (c) vs. Brock Lesnar for the WWE Universal Championship!
Paul Heyman appeared in a backstage interview on FastLane 2017 and on Raw Talk after the PPV and noted how both the outcomes (both Goldberg winning and losing) were a win-win situation for Lesnar.
