Brie Bella may be lacing up her boots once again, as WWE prepares for its upcoming all-women’s premium live event, Evolution 2. According to TMZ Sports, the WWE Hall of Famer is currently in discussions to come out of retirement, possibly to team with her sister, Nikki Bella. The talks were reportedly triggered by this week’s episode of Monday Night RAW, where WWE Women’s Tag Team Champion Liv Morgan referenced Nikki Bella’s personal life on air. Liv brought up Nikki’s breakup with Artem Chigvintsev, a split that came shortly after Artem’s August 2024 arrest on domestic violence charges, followed by a divorce just a month later.
While the jab may have been part of WWE’s scripted drama, sources close to the situation say the remarks didn’t sit well with Brie.
“Brie is upset over comments Liv Morgan made on this week’s RAW,” TMZ reported, adding that it’s what “triggered the idea of Brie possibly returning to stand beside her sister.”
Evolution 2 Could See a Full Bella Twins Reunion
If an agreement is finalized, Evolution 2 would mark Brie Bella’s first on-screen WWE appearance since the 2022 Women’s Royal Rumble, where she made a brief cameo. It’s unclear whether the former Divas Champion will officially wrestle at the show or simply accompany Nikki, but insiders say WWE is open to both possibilities.
Nikki Bella already made her return to the ring earlier this year, entering the 2025 Women’s Royal Rumble as the final entrant at number 30. She got physical on RAW in a confrontation with Liv Morgan following the personal comment, but was ultimately laid out by the champion.
The confrontation added fuel to speculation that WWE could be planning a major storyline leading into Evolution 2, with the Bella Twins involved in a tag team or singles match.
Bella Twins Have Long Teased a WWE Return
Both Nikki and Brie have stated publicly in the past that they weren’t officially done with wrestling. In multiple interviews, they’ve maintained that their return was just a matter of timing.
With WWE Evolution 2 shaping up to be one of the company’s marquee women’s events this year, it looks like that time may finally be here. For fans of the Bella Twins, the return of “Twin Magic” could be just around the corner.
