• Former World Champion Thinks He’s Going To Be Inducted Into The WWE Hall Of Fame

Former WWE Superstar Alberto Del Rio cleared his name last year.

One charge of aggravated kidnapping and 4 charges of sexual assault against him were dismissed in 2021.

Del Rio accomplished a lot in his WWE career and thinks he’s going to be inducted into the WWE Hall Of Fame one day.

He posted a graphic of him with the Hall Of Fame logo and tweeted the following:

“4 Times World Heavyweight Champion. Winner of the biggest battle royal in WWE history. Money in the Bank winner. 2 times WWE United States Champion. I will do my best to raise the Mexican flag once.”

Last year, Del Rio said the following about a Hall Of Fame induction during an interview with SK Wrestling:

“Everybody knows that my dream is to one day be a part of the WWE Hall of Fame.

After accomplishing everything, working and defeating all the big names, all my idols, that let me share the ring with them and gave me the opportunity to be part of their world, be there inside, and they gave me the privilege of being there with them.

So, after defeating everybody, becoming champion many times, people ask me, ‘What’s next? Do you dream about something? Accomplishing something else in the business?’

The answer is yes. I want to be a part of that (WWE) Hall of Fame. I have done enough to be a part of it.”

Below are Del Rio’s major accomplishments in pro-wrestling:

– 2x WWE Champion

– 2x World Heavyweight Champion (WWE)

– 2x United States Champion

– RAW Money In The Bank Winner (2011)

– 2011 Royal Rumble Match Winner

– 1x AAA Mega Champion

– 1x Unified GFW World Heavyweight Championship (TNA / Impact Wrestling)

• Old School NWA Legend Would Have Celebrated His Birthday

Today would have been the 63rd birthday of Old School NWA Legend “Mad Dog” Buzz Sawyer (Real name: Bruce Woyan).

Buzz Sawyer wrestled for several territories during the 70s & 80s, most famously Jim Crockett Promotions, Mid-South Wrestling, Pacific Northwest Wrestling and Georgia Championship Wrestling.

He also had a brief run for the World Wrestling Federation in 1984, where he was known as “Bulldog” Buzz Sawyer.

In the 80s, a young Mark Calaway (now known as The Undertaker) paid him to get trained, but Sawyer bailed on him, took the money and moved elsewhere.

Buzz was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2021 as part of their annual “Legacy Wing” inductions.
