• Former WWE Wrestler Is Leaving AEW Next Month

Former NXT Cruiserweight Champion Lio Rush, who worked for WWE from 2017 to 2020, joined AEW in 2021.

He made his All Elite Wrestling debut on May 30, 2021 at the Double Or Nothing pay-per-view, but officially signed my the company in September.

Before signing with AEW, he announced his retirement a few months before that, but ended up returning (similar to his other retirements).

He has now announced that his contract with Tony Khan’s promotion will expire next month and he’s taking indy bookings already.

Below is what he tweeted:

“On February 14, 2022, my contract will expire with AEW and I will become a free agent. For all booking inquiries, please email @[email protected].”
