WWE Hall Of Famer Triple H kicked off Night 2 of WrestleMania 38 by making his legendary entrance, placing his wrestling boots in the ring and then welcoming the fans.

During an interview with WSI, former WWE wrestler Joey Mercury talked about The Game retiring from in-ring competition.

Below are the highlights:

On what could Triple H’s new role at WrestleMania could be:

“He welcomed us to WrestleMania, did he not? I think that would be a very nice first of many where Triple H can come out at the top of the show and welcome the WWE Universe to WrestleMania every year.”

On if Triple H is affected by negative fan reaction:

“There’s a reason I don’t hang out online too much. The text that I can read slighting somebody like Hunter and what he’s done and what he continues to do is just irrelevant. It’s not important. It doesn’t irk me…it damn sure doesn’t irk Triple H!”

For those who don’t know, Triple H holds the record for the second-most matches in WrestleMania history (23), only behind The Undertaker (27).
