During a recent episode of his weekly ‘Foley Is Pod’ podcast, former WWF Champion Mick Foley spoke about the heavily rumored main event for next year’s WrestleMania 40 between Roman Reigns and his real-life cousin Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson, and whether it should be for Roman’s Undisputed WWE Universal Championship or not.

Here’s what Mick Foley had to say about the rumored encounter:

“If WWE know now that they can have Rock in a main event for WrestleMania 40, with Roman’s streak at that point surpassing 1,300 days, that would be a majestic match.

They could have a heck of a feud without the title, too. But, if they feel like they have The Rock in reserve, I think Roman holds that title, which might be why they divided the title.

Final answer, if Rock’s in the works for WrestleMania 40, I’m okay with Roman holding on to the title.”

The match was already rumored for this year’s WrestleMania 39, but The Rock’s busy schedule prevented it from happening, as The Great One wasn’t able to get in proper in-ring shape for an actual WrestleMania main event, which is always considered the biggest match of the year in the sport of professional wrestling.

The battle between the 2 family members was also teased on a season 3 episode of Young Rock several months ago.
