• Former WWF Referee Bashes AEW For Their Referees

During a recent interview on Busted Open Radio, AEW promoter Tony Khan said that there wouldn’t be any referee bumps in his company, but there was actually one at the recent Road Rager TV special.

Old School WWF/WWE Referee Jimmy Korderas, who criticized All Elite Wrestling for its referees multiple times in the past, said the following on Twitter:

“In that street fight, it’s crazy, you’ve got everything going. You hit Rick Knox with a 450 splash and he’s selling, not selling, trying to roll out of the way, trying to stay out of the way of what was going on, but he’s moving constantly. After a 450?!

No! Hit it, he rolls out, he’s out of the way. Then you have Paul Turner come out to do the false finish and you yank him out of the ring, and he’s gone for the rest of the night and Rick Knox comes back to count the finish. You guys can’t even get the ref bumps right. Now I know why you don’t do them.”

Korderas worked for the World Wrestling Federation (later renamed WWE) from 1987 until 2009.
