• Former WWF Referee Warns WWE Against Bringing CM Punk Back
Former WWF/WWE referee Jimmy Korderas took to Twitter and posted a video, where he spoke about the current CM Punk situation after the rumors of AEW buying out Punk’s contract and the possibility of the former World Champion returning to WWE, now that Vince McMahon isn’t in-charge anymore.
Here’s what Korderas had to say:
“WWE right now, under the guidance of Triple H, aka Paul Levesque, is doing well. They’re hitting the right notes right now. They’re elevating their product. They’re in a groove.
Do you need someone who has the reputation of Punk backstage to disrupt what seems to be a good locker room environment right now?
It would be controversial. It would draw some attention, but at the same time, do you want to take a chance of stirring the pot a little too much?”
In today's #ReffinRant rumours! They say "never say never" in the wrestling business but a certain rumour making the rounds is making me question that & go 🤔 😉 #StaySafe pic.twitter.com/D53IMq6XZh

CM Punk wrestled for World Wrestling Entertainment from 2006 until refused to show up to work anymore (unexcused absence) in early 2014, which got him fired a few months later.
Phil Brooks then tried his luck in mixed martial arts (MMA), but after 2 UFC undercard-fighters defeated him pretty easily, he quit for good.
Punk then joined Tony Khan’s All Elite Wrestling in 2021 and even managed to win the AEW World Title twice, but got suspended over a backstage brawl that took place after the All Out 2022 PPV.
He also got injured during both his AEW World Title reigns, which required surgery both times.
