Goldberg Thinks His Match With Brock Lesnar At WrestleMania 33 Will Be A Blood Fest

Brock Lesnar vs. Goldberg - WrestleMania 33 (WWE Universal Championship Match)

During a recent appearance on Edge and Christian’s E&C’s Pod Of Awesomeness, WWE Universal Champion Goldberg discussed his return to WWE, winning the WWE Universal Championship and his WrestleMania 33 main event against Brock Lesnar.

Goldberg talked about how he thinks his match against Lesnar might turn out to be a blood fest and below is what he had to say:

“Work or no work, it’s far from a night off. I’m used to going in there, bouncing guys around and standing there strong. You know this is a guy, he’s 39 so he’s eleven years younger than I am and he’s in his prime. He’s a monster. And you know, I used to be that monster and I still am that monster. I’m just kind of an older silverback monster now. You can’t take that away from me but it just makes it a lot more difficult to perform that vindication. Coming back at WrestleMania after thirteen years since the first WrestleMania match we had wasn’t well received, I know why. You know, and now everybody’s like ‘okay, Goldberg only knows two moves, he can’t go thirteen seconds without sweating. How are they gonna put a show on at this point?’

The thing with Brock, hey man I’m 2-0 against him. That’s pretty damn good right there. But if I think he’s not coming for my head on a platter at WrestleMania 33, then I’m crazy. I embarrassed this dude and we may have been friends in the past but he wants to eat me. That’s all fine and dandy man. Like I said I ain’t been sitting on the couch for the twelve years eating Bon-Bons and the two moves or the three moves that you’ve seen already are just — here’s the deal. Here’s the difference and this really pisses me off sometimes too. Some people like to watch Evander Holyfield go 12 rounds to a decision, some people like to watch Mike Tyson come out throw one show and lift the guy off his damn feet and put him on his back. I just so happen to be that guy who lifts people off their feet and puts them on their back. So if somebody asked me ‘hey man, would you like to be Evander Holyfield and go 12 rounds and go to a decision?’ My answer’s gonna be ‘HELL NO.’ I was born into this position and I’m going to do what I’m told to do and I’m going to do at the end of the day what I think people wanna see.

Well, hopefully at WrestleMania 33, I’m able to bring out some stuff that I haven’t shown that I haven’t been able to do because of constraints. So this ain’t gonna be no — hey he knows what’s coming, I know what’s coming. So I don’t think we’re gonna catch each other by surprise because I think this is gonna be a blood fest. It’s gonna be a knock down drag out war, don’t think I’m not gonna drive one of my knees straight through his solar plexus. I may have been away for a long time. And I may not have been practicing my wrestling moves throughout the years. But, you know going back what’s in ya, I mean I still got a lot of that stuff in me.”
