• “He was super easy to work with in WCW” – Wrestling Legend On Facing Goldberg

During an interview on The Hannibal TV, Old School Legend Shane Douglas talked former WCW World Heavyweight Champion Bill Goldberg.

They wrestled each other twice in World Championship Wrestling in 2000.

Here’s what The Franchise said about Goldberg:

“Bill’s a great guy. I’m happy to see that, first of all, he’s still in phenomenal shape. He was super easy to work with in WCW, albeit I think the company didn’t do it properly.

There was no reason to just feed me up after building that heat to take it right off of us. I think they could have really built that to something special.

Look, Bill’s not a 60-minute guy, he’s never gonna be. Same with Lesnar and some of the others. They’re attractions. Showcase them with their strengths, as opposed to putting them like a turtle on their back in something they shouldn’t be doing.”

Shane Douglas worked for the World Wrestling Federation twice, once during his early days in 1990 & 1991 and then one more time in 1995, this time portraying the teacher gimmick of ‘Dean Douglas’.

Shane hasn’t returned to the company (now renamed WWE) ever since, but would arguably qualify for a potential future Hall of Fame induction, if we consider his entire pro wrestling career.
