• “I wanted to really kill him” – Goldberg On WWF Wrestler
During the “Hollywood Rock” episode of Season 2 of WWE Network show “Ruthless Aggression”, WCW Legend Goldberg gave his opinion on Gillberg.
Duane Gill portrayed the Gillberg character, which was a parody of Goldberg, which was introduced during the Attitude Era.
Here’s what Goldberg had to say about his parody:
“I hated the Gillberg thing in the beginning. I just absolutely hated it. I wanted to rip the guy’s face off. I wanted to really kill him. But that means it worked.”
During this episode, Goldberg praised The Rock for putting him over in his 1st ever WWE match at Backlash 2003:
“Coming from WCW to WWE and making that splash, it had to be with the right person. [The Rock] was instrumental in my success immediately in the WWE.”
