• How WWE’s Major Decision Backfired With Roman Reigns Pulling Out Of WrestleMania 36, Why WWE Should Postpone The Show

The original plan for WrestleMania 36 was for “The Fiend” Bray Wyatt to defend the Universal Championship against “The Big Dog” Roman Reigns at WrestleMania 36, with the idea of Reigns winning the Universal Title in the main event.

However, Vince McMahon knew Reigns will start getting booed once again if he beats The Fiend to win the Title.

This led to Vince booking WWE Hall of Famer Goldberg in a match against The Fiend for the Title at WWE Super ShowDown 2020 (Goldberg was already slated to return for a match in Saudi Arabia).

Vince booked Goldberg to defeat the undefeatable Fiend to become a 2 time Universal Champion.

Vince made this decision because he feels Goldberg vs. Reigns is a bigger draw than Fiend vs. Reigns. Also, Reigns wouldn’t get booed when he defeats Goldberg to win the Title at WrestleMania 36.

With Vince taking this big step of taking the Universal Title off The Fiend to have Reigns win the Title back without any major backlash, Reigns has now pulled out of WrestleMania 36.

According to ProWrestlingSheet, Reigns informed WWE officials that he doesn’t feel comfortable working shows at the Performance Center because he’s immunocompromised from his battle with leukemia and didn’t want to take any risk regarding his health.

WWE honored Reigns’ request and he’s now taken out of the Universal Championship match at WrestleMania 36.

WWE is now set to announce Reigns’ replacement for the Universal Championship match against Goldberg soon, which is expected to be Braun Strowman.

The best decision at this point would be to postpone WrestleMania 36, not only for the safety of all wrestlers, but to also save all their mega matches that they had planned for WrestleMania 36 for a later date, hopefully in a Stadium in front of 70-80,000 fans.

Also, WWE should save Goldberg vs. Reigns for the Title for a later date, otherwise taking the Title off The Fiend for just a random title change (where Goldberg drops at WrestleMania 36 with very little build-up) would be a waste.
