• Roman Reigns’ Replacement In Universal Title Match At WrestleMania 36 Revealed
As we noted earlier, ProWrestlingSheet reported that “The Big Dog” Roman Reigns has informed WWE officials that he doesn’t feel comfortable working shows at the Performance Center because he’s immunocompromised from his battle with leukemia and didn’t want to take any risk regarding his health.
WWE honored Reigns’ request and he’s now taken out of the Universal Championship match at WrestleMania 36.
According to the Wrestling Observer, Braun Strowman is set to be Reigns’ replacement against Goldberg in the Universal Championship match at WrestleMania 36.
Strowman was last seen on WWE programming at Elimination Chamber 2020, where he lost the Intercontinental Championship to Sami Zayn in a 1 on 3 Handicap Match.
WWE is expected to play an angle on this week’s SmackDown to explain this change.
