• Hulk Hogan Comments On Lanny Poffo’s Death
As we reported before, Old School WWF Veteran ‘The Genius’ Lanny Poffo passed away at the age of 68.
He was the younger brother of WWF/WCW Legend “The Macho Man” Randy Savage and the son of Old School Wrestling promoter Angelo Poffo.
Lanny was overall a genuinely well liked guy among pro-wrestling locker rooms all over the world.
2-Time WWE Hall Of Famer Hulk Hogan tweeted the following about Lanny’s death:
“Still stunned over the passing of Lanny, talked with him very often, was laughing my butt off a couple of weeks ago with him over the phone, he is such a quality person, and was the full time ref between Randy and I.
Love you my brother, R.I.P. Genius.”
Lanny faced Hogan for the WWF World Heavyweight Championship on an episode of WWF Saturday Night’s Main Event in 1989. Lanny won this match via count-out.
