Hulk Hogan’s #1 Fan Speaks Out, Kamala & Tito Ortiz Support The Hulkster

One of our readers, who is also a big Hulk Hogan fan, sent the following regarding this Hulk Hogan controversy:

“This past weekend, WWE fired Hulk Hogan and erased him COMPLETELY from their history. Were they right to fire him? Yes. They had no choice. WWE is a public traded company and cannot be associated with someone who uses racial slurs like this.

BUT…Were they also right in absolutely erasing him from history? Absolutely NOT. First of all, erasing someone from history is a complete joke and it’s an insult to all your fans. What is even a bigger joke/disgrace, is that WWE is seriously considering removing him from their Hall of Fame. If WWE wants to erase people from history, and hell, remove someone from their Hall of Fame, I’ve got two more examples for them, and these individuals did stuff WAY worse:

Stone Cold Steve Austin and Iron Mike Tyson.
Let’s start with Austin, their biggest money maker in history. Austin had some personal problems after he walked out from WWE in 2002. He allegedly assaulted his wife Debra. Here is a quote from the Smoking Gun website:
“The wife of Stone Cold Steve Austin told San Antonio cops Saturday (6/15) that the professional wrestler assaulted her following an argument, leaving her with a welt on her face and bruises on her back, according to this police incident report. Responding to a 911 call, officers found Debra Williams, 42, standing at the front door of her home crying. She told cops that her husband ‘hit her several times after an argument’ and left the residence after she called police.”

Austin wasn’t charged for all this because Debra didn’t press charges, but it is a widely known story. Austin even was forced to not drink alcohol for a year, a $1000 fine, a year long probation, and 80 hours of community service.”

Now onto the next individual, Iron Mike Tyson. Mike Tyson is one of the main reasons WWE bounced back in 1998 during the Monday Night Wars, and they inducted him into their Hall of Fame in 2012 – well deserved -.

BUT…

They inducted someone who was CONVICTED for RAPE. On March 26, 1992, Tyson was sentenced to six years in prison followed by four years on probation. And WWE doesn’t induct Chyna into the Hall of Fame because they are afraid if kids google her? If kids google Mike Tyson, the rape case most certainly comes up as well.

Overall, I understand why WWE fired Hulk Hogan. But erasing him from history is a disgrace. And if they continue to do it, I don’t see how they can justify that Tyson and Austin are still part of their ‘illustrious history’. They did things much worse.
