Below are some top WWE news stories of the day, involving Hulk Hogan.
• Hulk Hogan’s claim that a missed phone call cost him millions in a George Foreman Grill endorsement has been debunked.
The YouTube channel “Pablo Torre Finds Out” investigated the story, contacting Michael Boehm, the grill’s inventor. Boehm’s family refuted Hogan’s version of events.
Here’s what they said:
“George Foreman was the only celebrity our dad approached about endorsing the grill. We don’t know who started the story about Hulk Hogan being approached, but it isn’t accurate.”
Further investigation included speaking with Henry Holmes, the lawyer who represented both Hogan and George Foreman at the time.
Here’s what the lawyer said:
“The Hulk Hogan story is not my recollection. In fact, what he said was that it was two other celebrities sharing representation that their agent was asking about.”

• Bret Hart, in a recent interview with Ariel Helwani, responded to Hulk Hogan’s claim that Hart’s perceived belief in his own greatness was the source of their conflict.
Here’s what The Hitman had to say about that:
“I heard something a few months ago where Hulk Hogan was talking about me. He said the problem with Bret Hart is that he really does think he was the greatest wrestler of all time.
And I remember thinking about that and going, yeah, maybe that might be the most truthful thing he’s ever said.”
Bret went on to take a shot at Hogan by saying that no current wrestler is trying to imitate the Hulkster:
“You don’t see anybody imitating Hulk Hogan or Ultimate Warrior. You see a lot of the wrestlers today really trying their best to capture my style — or some of the guys I worked with, like Dynamite Kid, Curt Hennig, and my brother Owen.
That’s the biggest compliment I can get from today’s generation.”
