• “I feel like it’s my year. I’ve earned it” – RAW Star Wants To Main Event WrestleMania 38

Seth Rollins has main evented one WrestleMania in his career. However, it was an impromptu main event, not the actual main event advertised for the show.

At WrestleMania 31 in 2015, Rollins cashed-in his Money In The Bank contract in the Brock Lesnar vs. Roman Reigns match to make it a Triple Threat Match and then walked out of it as the new WWE World Heavyweight Champion.

During an interview on Sports Guys Talking Wrestling podcast, Rollins said that he wants to properly main event this year’s WrestleMania 38 premium live event.

To do that, he plans on winning the WWE Championship this Saturday at Elimination Chamber.

Below is what he said:

“Knock on wood, but that’s my spot. I feel like it’s my year. I’ve earned it, so we’ll see.

I don’t think there is any chance that we’re main eventing WrestleMania without the WWE Championship.

Before WrestleMania, we have to go to Elimination Chamber and we’ve got to win, which is not going to be an easy task.

Bobby has a disadvantage as the champion, for sure, he has five other guys, but we all have the same slim chance to walk out of there as champion.”

Rollins revealed last year that he was devastated when Becky Lynch main evented WrestleMania 35 in 2019 instead of him.

• Old School Wrestling Veteran Would Have Celebrated His Birthday

Today would have been the 61st birthday of Old School Wrestling Veteran Yoshi Kwan aka Chris Champion (Real name: Christopher Ashford-Smith).

Ever since 1984 Chris Champion was wrestling for several territories, including a Tag Team run in Jim Crockett Promotions as one half of ‘The New Breed’, as well as working in Memphis for a few years, where at one time he even wrestled a few matches as “Kowabunga”, wearing a ‘Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles’ bodysuit & mask.

Probably his most memorable run came in 1993, when he wrestled for Ted Turner’s World Championship Wrestling as Yoshi Kwan, billed as asian and managed by Old School NWA Legend Harley Race.

He passed away on August 22, 2018 at the age of 57.
