• “I’ve never experienced none of that” – Teddy Long Was Shocked By Recent Scandal

During a recent interview with WrestlingInc, Old School WCW/WWF Manager Teddy Long talked about Vince McMahon’s ongoing hush money scandal, that caused the legendary long-time WWF/WWE promoter to retire from all of his positions within WWE.

Here’s what Teddy had to say:

“I’ve never experienced none of that. When this came out about Vince and stuff, it was really a shock to me.

To know him — and I guess I didn’t know him — but, I mean, to be around him as long as I was and to just see how professional and how business he was, I’m saying I just would have never thought that.”

Theodore R. Long worked for Jim Crockett Promotions (NWA) and later Ted Turner’s World Championship Wrestling (WCW) from 1985 to 1996 and then for the World Wrestling Federation (later WWE) from 1998 till 2014.

For both promotions, he worked as both a Referee as well as a Manager, but only in WWE he eventually became a General Manager in 2004, when he became the GM of the SmackDown! brand, a position he held until 2012.
