4. Can Alberto Del Rio Leave WWE Anytime He Wants?
Alberto Del Rio is not happy with his current WWE booking and he might be thinking about leaving in October when his contract expires. However, he can leave before his contract expires in October.
There’s a clause in his contract which allows him to leave the company anytime he wants. Del Rio was signed to a WWE deal last October under the word that he will get a main event push, which hasn’t happened till now and most probably won’t be happening.
Reports suggest that Vince McMahon wanted to push Del Rio in the Draft but Triple H didn’t agree with the idea and Triple H got his way. Del Rio is also unhappy about the fact that Paige, who he’s dating, has been drafted to Raw & he’s on SmackDown Live.
While Del Rio is making a lot of money by being a mid-card wrestler in the company, he can make almost the same amount of money by working in Mexico & Lucha Underground (where he would be used as a Top Star).
