The new raunchy comedy, The Bet, featuring wrestling legends, Dallas Page, Jake Roberts and Roddy Piper in his final film appearance, is now available on Video On Demand cable channels and all digital platforms including iTunes, Fandango Now, Vudu, Xbox, Playstation, Google Play and Amazon Prime.
The Bet tells the story of Denton Baker (Alex Klein – NBC’s Community), a loser in life and love who gets into a high stakes bet where he has one summer to find and hook up with every girl he had a crush on growing up from 1st grade to 12th grade. With the help of his well meaning but overzealous best friends, (Yassir Lester – HBO’s Girls), (Jeremiah Watkins – Comedy Central’s Roast Battle) and (Brian Allen – Netflix’s Buddy Thunderstruck), Denton has the added complication of falling in love with his 2nd grade crush (Amanda Clayton – Tyler Perry’s If Loving You Is Wrong).
The Bet also stars “Diamond” Dallas Page as Mr. Baker, an eccentric inventor and the father of Denton, and Jake “The Snake” Roberts as Mr. Lucas, a successful businessman whose company is up for grabs as part of the bet.
The Bet also features a cameo from, in his final on screen appearance, WWE Hall of Famer, the late “Rowdy” Roddy Piper as Denton’s concerned neighbor, Mr. Jablonski, as well as an cameo appearance from ECW’s Tommy Dreamer as a confused softball umpire.
In addition to Page, Roberts, Piper and Dreamer, The Bet features appearances from a host of faces in the comedy and music worlds including Hip Hop icon, Chuck D (Public Enemy), comedians like Gerry Bednob (The 40 Year Old Virgin), Dave England (Jackass), Dian Bachar (BASEketball) and many more!
